Frequently asked questions
Which areas do you cover?
We're based in Newcastle upon Tyne and work across the North East, including Gateshead, North and South Tyneside, Sunderland, Northumberland and County Durham.
How often does my home need an EICR?
For owner-occupied homes an Electrical Installation Condition Report is recommended at least every 10 years, or when you buy a property. Landlords in England are legally required to have one carried out at least every 5 years and give a copy to tenants.
Do I need to replace my old fuse box?
If your fuse box has rewireable fuses, no RCD protection or a plastic enclosure, an upgrade to a modern consumer unit with RCD/RCBO protection is strongly recommended. It is one of the most effective ways to protect your home from electric shock and fire.
Can you install an EV charger at home?
Yes. We survey your supply, recommend a suitable smart charger and install it safely with the correct protection, so you can charge your electric car overnight on a cheaper tariff.
My WiFi is slow in parts of the house. Can you help?
Yes. We install discreet wired data cabling and properly positioned access points or mesh systems so every room gets fast, reliable internet for streaming, gaming and home working.
Is your work guaranteed?
Yes. All work is carried out to BS 7671 (the IET Wiring Regulations), tested, certified where required and fully guaranteed.
